Climbwise is a private, free project by Dominic Langenegger and is currently in a closed test. These terms apply to the app at app.climbwise.ch and to this website. By using the app, you agree to them.
In short
- The app is only for people I have invited, and it is free.
- It is a test: content may have errors, and the app may go down.
- It replaces neither official teaching nor advice from a professional.
- I delete your account on request; an email is enough.
Who may use the app
The app is open only to invited testers. The invitation is for your email address and for you alone: do not share your access. I can end an invitation at any time, for example when the test ends. Using the app is free.
A test, not a finished product
Climbwise is still being built. Content may be missing, out of date or wrong, features may change or go away, and the app may be unavailable at times. I take care that the content is right and that every statement has a source, but I cannot guarantee that everything is correct, complete and current, or that the app will get you through an exam. Check anything important at its source.
No substitute for teaching or advice
The app helps you learn. It does not replace the lessons, courses and official materials meant for an exam, such as driving school. The laws and the rules of the exam bodies are what count.
Nor is it legal, tax, financial or insurance advice. For your own situation, ask a professional.
Child development
The topic «Kind und Entwicklung» (child development) gives general information. It is not medical advice and makes no diagnosis; its content has not yet been reviewed by a professional, and the app says so on every trail. Every child develops differently. If you are worried, ask your pediatrician or a parent counseling service.
Content and rights
The texts, trails, questions and drawings I write and draw for Climbwise you may use for your own learning, but not copy, publish or pass on.
Third-party content, such as law texts, traffic signs or material from exam bodies and trade associations, belongs to its rights holders. The app marks it with its source and shows it only for personal learning in the test. Law texts in the app are a reading aid; the official publication is what is legally binding.
Fair use
Please do not try to disrupt the app, get into other people's accounts or data, or scrape its content.
Feedback
I may use the feedback you send me, and how the app is used, to improve the app and its content, as described in the privacy policy. There is no payment for it.
Liability
As far as the law allows, I am not liable for damage that arises from using the app or from its content, for example if an exam does not go well or data is lost. For intent and gross negligence I am liable as the law provides.
Ending your account
You can stop at any time and have your account deleted with all your learning data: an email to dominic@langenegger.email is enough. What is deleted and what stays for a while is in the privacy policy. I may end the test or the app; I will announce that in the app beforehand.
Changes
If these terms change, I announce it in the app before the new version applies. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
Law
Swiss law applies.
The German version is the original.
